About Dr. Larson

Annalise Noelle Larson, MD, is pediatric orthopaedic surgeon at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.  She is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Chair of the Division of Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery.  She completed her undergraduate degree with Honors in Physics at Stanford University and medical degree at the University of Washington.  She trained in orthopedic surgery at the Mayo Clinic and completed her fellowship in pediatric orthopedics and scoliosis at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas, TX.   

Accomplishments

Dr. Larson has authored over 250 research publications in peer-reviewed journals, including the results of the Minimize Implants Maximize Outcomes Randomized Clinical Trial.  Her work has been funded by the U.S. FDA, National Institutes of Health, Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation, Scoliosis Research Society and Pediatric Orthopedic Society of N. America.   She has completed a U.S. FDA study on vertebral body tethering.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Setting Scoliosis Straight Foundation.
